Oarsman-Dance Drama “The Dream Of Maritime Silk Road” Editorial Image

Dance drama “The Dream of Maritime Silk Road” centers on the plot of two generations of a sailor family in Southern Fujian chasing their dreams to sail to west Asia. It reproduces a prosperous picture of maritime silk road in southern China which started from CiTong Harbor of Quanzhou, Fujian province 800 years ago. The dance drama demonstrates a distinctive Minnan culture as well as the conditions and customs of the local people of different countries and regions along the maritime silk road. It’s been invited to perform at UN Headquarters in New York, UNESCO Headquarters in Paris and EU Headquarters in Brussels. “The Dream of Maritime Silk Road” represented by the Song and Dance Ensemble of Fujian Province played at Jiangxi Arts Center, Dec 29, 2015.
